  • We are a preschool through 8th grade learning community dedicated to academic excellence, developing the whole child and meeting the needs of the 21st century learner.
  • We believe by providing a strong foundation based on faith, our students will enter adulthood as thoughtful Catholics who are active in their communities, open to vocations and who will have a profound impact on the future.
  • St. John Bosco students have the opportunity to participate in more than 20 extracurricular clubs, activities, and sports.
  • Students and their families are engaged in service projects both on and off campus, serving organizations such as St. Vincent de Paul, Maggie’s Place and Feed My Starving Children.

  • We offer flexible programs for three- and four-year-olds.
  • Our preschool program was voted “Best of Ahwatukee” 2015, 2021, and 2022.

Testing/Instruction

  • Our goal is to meet the needs of individual learners in an academically engaging environment.
  • We utilize MAP testing (Measures of Academic Progress), a computer-adaptive assessment that provides our teachers with detailed information needed to build curriculum around differentiated learning in 3rd through 8th grade.
  • In addition to MAP, St. John Bosco uses the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) in grades 1st-8th, as well as Acadience for reading and math in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
  • Students receive differentiated instruction from the classroom teachers and have access to a resource specialist.

Technology

  • All classrooms are equipped with OneScreen boards
  • School-wide 1:1 Chrombooks

Other
