Saint Joan of Arc Preschool

Mission Statement: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Preschool is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered foundation for life-long learners in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.

Facts:

• Our Reggio Emilia approach, with its emphasis on relationships and a capable image of the child, (along with our developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum and inquiry-based play,) provides the foundation for our children to become active Catholics, life-long learners, responsible citizens, self-aware individuals, and effective communicators. We develop inquisitive minds through authentic experiential learning within a secure caring environment.
• Our faith is incorporated into our curriculum daily along with family mass every month (daily mass for kindergarteners), weekly courtyard prayers, and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which fosters each student’s personal relationship with God.
• We offer kindergarten, along with 2, 3, 4, or 5 day a week preschool programs with varying hours (the longest daily schedule is from 8am-3:30pm) for potty-trained children ranging from 2 1/2 -6years of age.
• All of our children receive the individual attention they deserve with class sizes capping at 6 for our Mini 3s, and all other classes, including kindergarten, capping at 12 students.
• Our staff aims to work with you in educating your child on the importance of what it really means to be a disciple of God, and to serve and love one another. We will strive to help your child become aware of his/her unique place in God’s heart, by teaching life-long skills based on respect, appreciation for multi-cultural diversity, and civic responsibility.
