Mission Statement: Notre Dame Preparatory is a Diocesan Catholic High School, dedicated to the promotion of academic excellence and the pursuit of holiness through the shared values of Reverence, Respect, & Responsibility, out of love for Jesus Christ.

Faith Formation:

  • Four-year comprehensive Theology program.
  • All classes and student activities begin with prayer.
  • All students, faculty and staff pause to pray a daily spiritual exercise developed by St. Ignatius Loyola called the Examen.
  • Daily mass is offered before school at 7:25 a.m. on Mon., Tue., Thu., and Fri. and Wed. at 2:45 p.m. All-school mass is celebrated once a month.
  • The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available by appointment and during our Advent and Lenten Reconciliation days.
  • Each first Friday of the month, Adoration of the Eucharist is available in the Chapel from 7:55 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Students, faculty, staff, and family members are welcome.
  • A variety of retreats are offered to provide an opportunity for students and chaperones to encounter Christ and “unplug” from pressure, social media, and the day-to-day busyness of life. Underclassmen can participate in House and service retreats. Juniors and seniors may apply to make a Kairos retreat.

Academic Opportunities:

  • Notre Dame Preparatory offers 16 Advanced Placement courses to prepare high school students for college. Colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain a passing grade on the Advanced Placement
  • NDP offers 11 Dual Enrollment courses in partnership with Scottsdale Community College and the University of Arizona. Courses are taught by college-approved high school teachers, and students save time and money by earning both high school and college credits simultaneously at an affordable rate.
  • A 4-year program in Science and Engineering offers a concentrated curriculum developed by Project Lead the Way that includes engineering principles and methodology, research and documentation, and hands-on design.
  • NDP’s multidisciplinary Visual & Performing Arts program offers specialty instructors in drawing, painting, ceramics, multi-media, digital art, guitar, choral music, dance, theater, public speaking, & broadcasting, which allows students a variety of opportunities to perform and create.
  • Our World Languages department offers language and cultural instruction in American Sign Language, French, and Spanish.
  • Exceptional Academic Programs:
    The St. Aloysius Gonzaga Program is for students who demonstrate academic progress but need extra time to adapt to our rigorous college preparatory curriculum.
  • The St. Joseph the Worker Program is for students with diagnosed learning disabilities.
  • Thomas Aquinas Program is for students who learn at an accelerated rate.

  • Campus expansion has included a football field, track, and updated athletic facilities (2015), Our Lady of Grace Memorial Garden (2019), and the St. Catherine of Bologna Performing Arts Center (2021).
  • Notre Dame Prep students participate in more than 26 interscholastic sports, 40 student-led clubs, and many other activities including art, music, theater, robotics, and Christian service.
  • In its 20 years of existence, NDP has earned 49 state team championships and many more individual championships for golf, tennis, swimming, wrestling and track and field.
  • NDP utilizes the House System, so students have a place where they “belong.” The House System provides students many opportunities to be involved, share their talents, and gain leadership experience.
  • NDP’s student body performs more than 27,000 Christian service hours each year to the community, the church, and the poor and marginalized.
  • 25 student-athletes signed letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level in 2022, and 8 student-athletes signed letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level in 2023.
